Bryn Tierney, President
Enterprise Risk Management/ Compliance Department at Vantage West Credit Union
Bryn Tierney obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York in Sociology/Criminology then obtained his Master’s Degree in Economic Crime Management from Utica College NY. Additionally, Bryn is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Mr. Tierney possesses over twelve years of regulatory compliance, financial crime investigations, risk mitigation, disaster recovery/business continuity planning and security experience from the private sector. He works in Tucson, Arizona for Vantage West Credit Union in their Enterprise Risk Management/ Compliance Department.
Mr. Tierney actively engages in his community through a variety of different channels by volunteering at Pima County Office of Emergency Management serving as Southern Arizona’s financial industry liaison to the Emergency Operation Center. Bryn is also the Southern Arizona Chair of the Board of Directors at AZ INFRAGARD for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). In early 2015, Bryn joined the Board of Directors for World Care in Tucson.
Christy Sizer, Treasurer
Assurance Associate, CPA at BeachFleischman
Christy is a CPA that has been working in the accounting field for the past 3 years. Christy graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. Christy enjoys being involved with the community and is extremely happy to be a part of World Care. She is looking forward to partaking in World Care’s growth. She emphasizes the importance of transparency and integrity within the organization and will seek to ensure the organization remains at the highest level of transparency.
Gwen Corner, Director
Master Student at Colorado State University Business School
Gwen Corner graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with minors in Spanish and Sociology. She held positions at World Care for 3 years as both Director of Operations and Project Manager. She has conducted needs assessments in areas such as Middlesex County, New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy and Moore, Oklahoma after the devastating tornadoes in 2013. In addition, she has worked on international humanitarian aid projects for Nepal, Lebanon, Philippines and Guatemala for the organization.
During her tenure at World Care, she held the Secretary position of the Southern Arizona Community Organizations Active in Disasters and served as the Founder and Co-Chair of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Tucson. Gwen is currently living in Fort Collins, Colorado as a candidate for the Global, Social, and Sustainable Enterprise MBA at Colorado State University.
Terie Tutt, Director
Physician Liasion at Radiology Limited
Terie Tutt has over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector working as a leader in non-profit management, resource and volunteer development and has a proven track record in partnering with community stakeholders and volunteers to promote and work towards one common mission and goal. Terie’s experience spans from 8 years with the American Cancer Society and other various non-profit groups.
Terie currently works at Radiology Limited as a Physician Liaison. She seeks to connect providers throughout Southern Arizona in need with updated technology resources and through new products and tech support.
Terie’s passion and dedication to volunteer work and community development is evident in her position as a Board Member for World Care and her extensive history in the non-profit sector. She is excited for the future of World Care and hopes to contribute as much as she can to the mission and vision!
Tracelyn Sutton, Director
Division Event Support Coordinator, American Cancer Society
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Ms. Sutton has spent 15 years in program management and 13 years in volunteer management. She currently works at the American Cancer Society in Tucson.
Tracelyn’s former board experience was serving three years on the Southern Arizona Volunteer Management Association. She has conducted numerous presentations on customer service, volunteer management, program operations and development. Much of her varied career has involved cultivating partnerships with county health departments, primary care facilities, hospital systems and community organizations to implement community programs targeting disparate populations using evidence-based interventions to reduce incidence rates and promote healthy living strategies.
Ms. Sutton’s greatest interests are in building a stronger community by increasing sustainable programs in urban farming, neighborhood rejuvenation, recreational spaces, literacy, arts, natural resource preservation and recycling. She is excited to be on the Board of Directors of World Care and looks forward to the future.
Alan Beaudrie, Director
Academic Success Coordinator, Arizona State University
Alan Beaudrie earned his Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education from Mayville State University and his Master’s in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
Alan lived and taught English in Buenos Aires for over 2 years, but has spent the last 16 years working in higher education in lead positions in academic advising, mostly at the University of Arizona, but more recently at Arizona State University. In his position at the University of Arizona Zuckerman College of Public Health, Alan oversaw many internationally-focused internships with students interested in global health, which is also an area of interest for Alan.
